Since the 60’s, the earth beneath the plain of Plainpalais was partially occupied by a power plant, which was controlled by the company Swisscom. Previously unused, the city of Geneva is rehabilitating this old building with its hidden depths to store its records. “Conservation Center” is a theoretical view of this underground construction -new reality of an enigmatic place- a fanciful perception. In a light line drawing, reminding us of instruction leaflets and statistical diagrams, this odd plan shows a network transforming data, the memory, into small pieces of storage buried underground.
Drawing in six parts, crayon, standard quality paper. 42x60 cm.
